The D.C. Environmental Network Invites All Metro-based Environmentalists to a BROWN BAG LUNCHEON:

Cool Capital Challenge: One Billion Pounds of Change

Special Guests: Lara Hansen, Chief Climate Scientist, World Wildlife Fund, and one of the founders of the Cool Capital Challenge

With its slogan, “Cool Now,” the Cool Capital region-wide collaborative (www.coolcapital.org) has amassed over a quarter-billion pounds in pledged annual carbon dioxide reductions across the DC region, and it is already becoming a model for cities and counties across the U.S. Now Cool needs everyone’s help to ramp up its campaign for one billion pounds in reduction commitments by April 22 (Earth Day), 2008. Find out how you can help this exciting campaign demonstrate that we all have the collective power to help combat the climate crisis through immediate direct action.
